About Mike

Michael J. Catalfimo is the Managing Director of Carter Conboy, and the Firm’s Chief Operating Officer. He has over 30 years of experience and has handled the resolution of disputes in thousands of litigated cases and transactional matters.

Michael serves a diverse group of clients on a variety of issues – from complex litigation cases for Fortune 500 companies to transactional and litigation matters for small businesses, families and individuals. His practice concentrations include real property finance and litigation, creditors’ rights, and business litigation; as well as family law, municipal law, and trusts and estates practice.

He has particular experience in protecting and enforcing the rights of lenders in default loan servicing matters, mortgage foreclosure proceedings, replevin actions, collection suits, and bankruptcy proceedings.

Why Mike

Michael’s counsel has profound depth and breadth, and his clients start a step ahead with his experience behind them. His experience as a negotiator for litigants in contested matters, a counselor to businesses and individuals in transactional matters, and a neutral mediator for parties in alternative dispute resolution, enables him to identify common ground between opposing interests and positions. And, his experience as a litigator – including the prosecution and defense of thousands of matters in both the trial and appellate courts – gives him the tools to advance or protect him client’s interests when common ground cannot be found.

Patient and detail-oriented, Michael is driven to understand the meaning behind things, whether that means breaking down the step-by-step moments of a case’s storyline or listening intently for the subtle intricacies that define a personal relationship. He knows from experience that successful legal outcomes often turn on an attorney’s ability to understand what lies below the surface of the problem.
