About Matt

Matt Dillon litigates cases on behalf of individuals and businesses in state and federal courts in New York with a concentration in the areas of trucking and transportation, food and beverage, labor and employment, medical malpractice, self-storage, premises liability, and product liability.  Matt advises his clients on strategic growth, risk mitigation, and government compliance.  When clients find themselves involved in a legal action, Matt provides smart, experienced counsel throughout all phases of litigation.

Why Matt

Having grown up in a family of small business owners, Matt appreciates the diverse risks, challenges, and rewards businesses and business owners’ face. From that experience, he is dedicated in helping his clients mitigate risk, promote growth, and plan strategically. He regularly speaks and writes on issues affecting businesses including the transportation, self-storage, and food and beverage industries.

Matt is committed to his professional and local communities, and devotes his time to providing meaningful and positive impact. He is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Capital District YMCA – Bethlehem Branch and the Vice-President for the Greater Capital District Italian American Bar Association. Matt volunteers for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, including fundraising for and running in the Disney Half Marathon as part of the Team in Training program. Matt also maintains strong connections to his alma maters, Stonehill College and Albany Law School.
