David R. Homer, Retired United States District Court Magistrate, Joins Carter Conboy


Retired United States Magistrate Judge, David R. Homer, has joined Carter Conboy, of counsel, where he will focus his practice on federal and state civil and criminal litigation, as well as alternative dispute resolution services, including mediation and arbitration.

“Over the years, I have come to know many of the attorneys at Carter Conboy” said Judge Homer.  “Their professionalism, talent, and integrity are extraordinary and I am very grateful for the opportunity to join their firm.”

Judge Homer brings more than thirty-seven years of experience to Carter Conboy, including sixteen years as an Assistant United States Attorney and seventeen years as a United States Magistrate Judge for the Northern District of New York where he retired as Chief Magistrate in September, 2012.

“Judge Homer is a highly respected and accomplished jurist, presiding over many complex and landmark civil and criminal trials.  He brings a depth of experience and skill that will further strengthen Carter Conboy’s ability to service our clients,” said Michael J. Judge Homer earned his B.A. degree from Brown University in 1969 and his J.D., cum laude, from Syracuse University in 1975, where he was an Editor of the Syracuse Law Review.
