Attorney Michael J. Murphy authored an article in the 2011 summer edition of ALFA International’s Labor & Employment newsletter. Mr. Murphy’s article “Proving Impairment in ADA Cases: Do You Need a Note From Your Doctor?” analyzed a recent decisions in Federal Circuit Courts affecting the level of proof a plaintiff must provide to demonstrate a substantial limitation of a major life activity under the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Mr. Murphy represents employers in state and federal courts, before the EEOC and New York State Division of Human Rights, and advises clients on a wide range of employment law issues. He also serves as Vice-Chair of the Board of Directors of ALFA International, a global network of 140 independent law firms.
