Trial Win for James A. Resila in Defense of Urologist

Director James A. Resila recently obtained a defense verdict in medical malpractice action venued in the Essex County Supreme Court. The plaintiff claimed that Mr. Resila's client, a urologist, negligently left behind 8” of plastic sheathing in his ureter following a kidney stone removal surgery. After a full jury trial of the issues presented, the jury found that the plaintiff had no cause of action against Mr. Resila's client and dismissed the plaintiff's case.
