Christopher J. Watt Successfully Defends Employment Discrimination Complaint Before NYSDHR


Attorney Christopher J. Watt obtained a favorable Determination and Order from the New York State Division of Human Rights on behalf of his client, a local business owner.

The Complainant, an employee of Mr. Watt’s client, filed a Complaint with the New York Division of Human Rights alleging unlawful discriminatory practice relating to her employment due to her sex, disability, conviction record, and arrest record, in violation of N.Y. Exec. Law, Art. 15 (Human Rights Law).

After investigation by the Division of Human Rights, it was found that there was insufficient evidence and no probable cause to believe Mr. Watt’s client had and is engaging in the unlawful discriminatory practices as alleged, and the Complaint was dismissed in its entirety.
