Carter Conboy Welcomes Aliza Keen from the ACBA Diversity Internship Program
By: Carter Conboy
Carter Conboy welcomes Aliza Keen, a law student at Albany Law School, as recipient of the Diversity Internship for the Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 semesters. Ms. Keen is a 2012 graduate of DePauw University. At Albany Law School, she was awarded the Dean's Global Fellowship allowing her to accept a summer internship with a law firm in Accra, Ghana.
In the Fall of 2000, the Albany County Bar Association created a Diversity Internship Program with the goal to increase the representation of students of color in law firms and corporate legal departments in the Capital District and to provide students of color with private sector work experience. As per the directive of the Program, the interns (second and third year students) are provided with a meaningful work experience, appropriately supervised, with assignments equivalent to a junior associate's actual work situation. Carter Conboy is proud to be a founding member of the Diversity Internship Program, having accepted Fall and Spring interns from the Program since its inception.
