Carter Conboy’s Desany Moderator of ALFA International’s Insurance Roundtable

Attorney Jessica A. Desany recently moderated a panel for ALFA International, the Global Legal Network, at its 2011 Insurance Law Roundtable Seminar entitled “The Perilous Path:  Liability, Coverage and Regulatory Issues in an Ever Changing Environment” held in New York City.  Ms. Desany’s panel, “The Ethical Performance:  Avoiding a Tragedy of Errors” focused on the ethical issues facing insurers, in-house counsel, and agents when addressing represented and unrepresented claims in both pre-suit and litigation scenarios, including issues to be considered in multi-jurisdictional practices, when agents and carriers are co-defendants in litigation, and outside counsel’s identification of the client.  Ms. Desany’s panel consisted of distinguished attorneys in the insurance industry from across the country.

Jessica A. Desany is a Director with the firm and practices in the areas of civil litigation, including actions defending claims of professional liability, personal injury, and premises liability, as well as in the areas of commercial real estate and insurance coverage analysis and disputes.
