Director James A. Resila Successfully Defends Medical Malpractice Action at Trial

Director James A. Resila recently obtained a defense verdict in medical malpractice action venued in the Essex County Supreme Court. The plaintiff claimed that Mr. Resila’s client, a urologist, negligently left behind 8” of plastic sheathing in his ureter following a kidney stone removal surgery. After a full jury trial of the issues presented, the jury found that the plaintiff had no cause of action against Mr. Resila’s client and dismissed the plaintiff’s case. (More)

In celebration of its 90th year, Carter Conboy has announced a gift of 90 items per quarter to four Capital Region nonprofits. For the second quarter of 2010, the law firm made a donation of 90 duffel bags to Northeast Parent & Child Society. The duffel bags will be available to children and youth in Northeast’s foster care, residential care, and family preservation services. “Whether they’re moving in with loving foster parents or returning home to their own families, our children find great comfort in the duffel bags donated by our friends at Carter Conboy.
