Michael Catalfimo concentrates his practice in the fields of Creditors Rights, Commercial Law, Estates & Trusts Law, Municipal Law and Family Law. He is also experienced in the areas of real property law, criminal law and general civil litigation.
Mr. Catalfimo earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree (with All College Honors) in Government from Skidmore College in 1982. While at Skidmore, he was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society and the Periclean Honor Society. He received his Juris Doctor Degree (Magna Cum Laude) from Boston College Law School in 1985, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif National Legal Honor Society and received the Lewis F. Powell, Jr. Medal for Excellence in Advocacy and Outstanding Trial Advocacy. He is admitted to the Bars of the State, Federal and Bankruptcy Courts of New York and Massachusetts.
Mr. Catalfimo is an active member of the American and New York State Bar Associations, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute. He is a former adjunct professor of business law at Skidmore College and is currently an Arbitrator and Mediator for the United States District Court, Northern District of New York.
