PROFILE

Michael J. Catalfimo currently concentrates his practice in the fields of Creditors Rights, Business and Property Law and Litigation, Family Law and General Civil Litigation.  He is also experienced in the areas of Estates & Trusts Law, Municipal Law, and Health Care Law.

Mr. Catalfimo serves on the Executive Committee of Carter Conboy’s Board of Directors, and is the Chief Operating Officer of the Firm.

EDUCATION

Mr. Catalfimo earned his Juris Doctor Degree (Magna Cum Laude) from Boston College Law School in 1985, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif National Legal Honor Society.  He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree (with All College Honors) in Government from Skidmore College in 1982.  While at Skidmore, Mr. Catalfimo was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa National Honor Society and the Periclean Honor Society.

BAR ADMISSIONS

Mr. Catalfimo is admitted to the Bars of the State of New York and Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the United States District and Bankruptcy Courts of the Northern, Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and the United States Bankruptcy Court of the State of New Hampshire.

MEMBERSHIPS AND APPOINTMENTS

Mr. Catalfimo is an active member of the American and New York State Bar Associations, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, the American Legal and Financial Network and the Business Litigation Practice Group of the American Law Firm Association.  He is the past president of the Washington County Bar Association and the Federation of Bar Associations of the Fourth Judicial District, serves on the arbitration and mediation panels of the United States District Court, Northern District of New York, and is a former adjunct professor of business law at Skidmore College.
