James C. Blackmore graduated with honors from Colgate University in 1965 and from Albany Law School of Union University in 1968. Since joining the Carter Conboy firm in 1968, he has concentrated his practice in the areas of commercial real estate (primarily representing lenders and developers), insurance coverage and commercial litigation.
Mr. Blackmore is a member of the Albany County and New York State Bar Associations. Mr. Blackmore is also a member of the Title and Transfer Committee of the Real Property Section of the New York State Bar Association.
Mr. Blackmore has authored several articles and has lectured extensively for the New York State Bar Association and the Defense Research Institute on insurance coverage issues, including bad faith, antisubrogation, uninsured and underinsured motorist coverage and no-fault insurance coverage. Mr. Blackmore has received the highest possible Peer Review Rating of "AV" in the Martindale-Hubbell Directory for Attorneys.
