Laura M. Hoffman received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Syracuse University College of Law and her Bachelor of Science in History from the State University of New York College at Oneonta. She is admitted to practice in New York State, the Northern District of New York, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

Ms. Hoffman concentrates her practice mostly in the areas of Trusts and Estates, General Litigation, Creditors’ Rights and Banking Law, and Family Law.

Ms. Hoffman is an active member of the Capital District Women’s Bar Association (CDWBA) and has been appointed as a Co-Chair of its Classroom Project Committee, which coordinates with local teachers to place CDWBA members in classrooms to speak about various areas of practice and what it is like to be a lawyer. This committee also brings the CARE (Credit Abuse Resistance Education) program to community groups to educate them on the responsible use of credit.

She is also a member of the CDWBA’s Judicial Screening Committee, which interviews and rates candidates for Supreme and County level judgeships in Albany, Saratoga, Schenectady, and Rensselaer Counties.
