Director
John T. Maloney concentrates his practice on the defense and trial of medical and professional malpractice claims, products liability and commercial litigation in State and Federal Courts throughout upstate New York and regularly represents physicians and other professionals before State Administrative agencies and licensing boards including the State of New York’s Department of Health’s Office of Professional Medical Conduct (OPMC).
Mr. Maloney is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers (Chair, Upstate Committee, National Trial Competition Committee) and a Master of the Albany Law School Chapter of the American Inns of Court. He is listed in Best Lawyers in America, Super Lawyers,® Upstate Editions, and has the highest possible Peer Review Rating of "AV" in the Martindale-Hubbell Directory of Attorneys. He is an active member of the New York State Bar Association (Trial Lawyers and Torts, Insurance and Compensation Law sections), American Bar Association (Expert Witness Committee), Albany and Rensselaer County Bar Associations, Capital District Trial Lawyers (Board of Directors) and Defense Research Institute. He serves on the Character and Fitness Committee for the New York State Appellate Division, Third Judicial Department and is a frequent lecturer on trial practice and legal ethics.
